Our Route Crosses the 75th East and West Meridians, making this journey over halfway around the world! Joseph's father came to the United States from a village 10 km away from Patan, Gujarat, India, in the mid 1970's. Joseph plans on returning to this very same village in 2018, re-linking his heritage.
Cross the Bering Strait Westward via Amphibious Vehicles
The treacherous Bering Strait, a body of water spanning 53 miles between Russia and Alaska, has never been crossed by vehicle in a Westward direction.
Passing through Chicago and Kolkata
A Kolkata native, Dr. Mitra came to the United States to obtain a PhD in the field of Communications from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign near Chicago after completing a chemical engineering degree in India. He will be re-tracing his own steps by undertaking and completing this great voyage.
Travel an non-existant route
The majority of the route that will be taken by the Expedition 75 Team has never been used by humans as it, in theory, does not exist. However, Team 75 plans on forcing it to exist in 2018.
